TOWARDS RESILIENT FUTURES:

SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION AND INNOVATION IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT

UCT Graduate Business School

Cape Town, South Africa, June 23-25, 2026

ABOUT CONFERENCE

In the face of accelerating climate change, rapid urbanisation and technological disruption, the construction industry must urgently reposition itself to deliver resilient, sustainable and inclusive built environments. This is especially vital for Africa and other emerging regions, where infrastructure gaps, social vulnerability and economic pressures intersect in increasingly complex ways. By convening researchers, practitioners, policymakers and future leaders, this conference seeks to catalyse innovation, share practical insights and co-create pathways towards resilient, sustainable construction and project management futures worldwide.
